01.Is my Credit Card Information Secure?

We care about the safety and security of your transactions. We use high grade encryption and https security protocol to communicate with your browser software. This method is the industry standard security protocol, which makes it is extremely difficult for anyone else to intercept the credit card information you provide. Companies we work with to process credit card transactions also use high grade encryption and security protocols. Yes. The same high-grade encryption and https security protocols used for financial transactions on our site are used in collecting personal information to schedule your donations. OFFLINE PRIVACY

01.How is Personal Information Used for Cash Donations?

For cash donations, donor information is entered into our secure database This information is handled only by our Donor Care Department. As our privacy policy states, we do not share or sell personal information with any external organizations. Hard copies are discarded/shredded in a proper and secure way in a timely manner.

02.How is Personal Information Used for Check Donations?

For checks and other payments, donor information is entered into our secure database and Scan-Submit checks on the respective banks Bank’s SSL website. HHRD keeps a copy on our LAN server, accessible by a few authorized local users. Security standards set by Microsoft are followed to maintain the security of the server. Physical checks are locked in storage for six months, and exclusive access to our Accounts Department only.

03.How is Personal Information Collected and Used?

1. Personal information is requirement for processing your donations. Donations may be made by:
a. Credit Card
b. Check/E-Check
c. Cash
2. An email address may be provided by you when you sign up to receive HHRD e-newsletters, when making an online donation or completing a donation pledge form.

04.What information is being collected?

HHRD collects information that is provided voluntarily by donors including name, address, phone number, and organization. The first two are required fields for online donation transactions. Credit Card, E-check and check information is collected only for the purpose of completing your online donation transactions. How you heard about us is used for analysis purposes.
No information collected is shared for purposes of soliciting or marketing.

To maintaining privacy and security controls over your information, HHRD works to accurately process it. During business hours, staff is available to answer questions via phone or email at info@hhrd.org

HHRD employees error-checking procedures ensure transactions are processed accurately. Necessary, changes are made to improve our systems. In addition, independent external and internal audits are conducted to ensure the privacy, security, and processing of your information on our website.

Note to Parents

HHRD welcomes children to learn more about our organization and, where appropriate, find opportunities to serve their communities through HHRD training programs and volunteer activities. However, we encourage this to be done only with their parents’ knowledge and supervision.
